A few months ago I was asked to photograph the Artisans Guild for the cover photograph of the Our Narangba and Burpengary Magazine. I had visited the Guild before during an awards night.
Upon arriving I was greeted with such enthusiasm from everyone! Okay, maybe I did somewhat disturb them from an art class - but photography is art too and who doesn't love posing for photographs?
My editor visited the Guild earlier in the day and had come up with a few different photo shoot ideas. First up we went with the idea of everyone being busy in a collaborative class. It was okay but something was missing (at first everybody was looking at the camera).
My next direction was pretty much "pretend as if you enjoy talking to each other!" - it worked! We got a ton of workable shots and I could rush off to my next appointment without stressing. I must say though, everyone there was really understanding of why we needed to get it exactly right and we ended up with something really cool.
Check it out below!

Until next time,
